Gardening

At Davis Second Love Learning Center we love to teach children about nutrition. We plant different types of vegetables and discuss what we grow. The children help me plant the seeds and water the garden.  We discuss the different colors, sizes, textures, and we learn the names of all the different types of vegetables we grow in our garden. The children always look forward to learning how each one tastes!

Curriculum

Davis Second Love Learning Center currently uses the Frog Street curriculum and is subject to change based on the developmental needs of the children. Biweekly curriculum lesson plans are implemented to teach the children. There are six developmental domains that are covered daily the following domains are: language, cognitive, social-emotional, self-help, gross, and fine motor skills.

Designed around the latest scientific early brain development research, Frog Street Infant curriculum is designed to build strong foundations for little ones ages 0-18 months. This child-centered program includes easy-to-use activities that optimize key windows of opportunity for growth and development.

Toddlers

Children are at many different developmental levels during the period of growth from 18-36 months of age. Children also vary in culture, language, motivation, abilities, and interests. But all children can learn effectively regardless of these differences.
